How to choose insulating paint for oil pump motor? The knowledge you want to know is here!

The insulation treatment of the motor is directly related to the performance and life of the oil pump motor. Therefore, the motor manufacturing plant must have strict requirements for the selection of insulating paint. Next, Dalan Motor manufacturers will take a look at the classification of insulating paint and what should be paid attention to when choosing paint?

1. The choice of insulating paint

In general low-pressure oil pump motors, there are two broad categories of insulating paints currently used, including solvent knees and solvent-free paints. Attention should be paid to the issues of heat adhesion and compatibility when choosing paint.

1. Solvent paint

1) Solvent paint is made of paint base plus solvent. Paint base refers to resin. The solvent is also called non-reactive diluent, and it does not participate in the cross-linking curing reaction of the paint base. Solvent molecules are dispersed between the lacquer-based molecules, so that the distance between the lacquer-based molecules is increased, and the purpose of reducing the dryness is achieved. Therefore, the solvent can be used to adjust the dryness, so that the paint can easily penetrate into the gaps between the winding and the insulation.

2) The phenomenon that the cross-linking of the paint film with solvent paint gradually forms from the surface to the inner layer makes it difficult for the liquid agent to completely volatilize and its solvent content is too large (about 50%), so there is a high possibility of residual after curing.

3) The number of dipping times for solvent-based paints is higher than that for solvent-free paints. The solvent content is high and a large amount of volatilization occurs during baking. Therefore, the danger of explosion in the drying room and the complexity of handling harmful gases are increased. When the solvent is discharged into the atmosphere, the environment is seriously polluted, and the baking time is long and the energy consumption is large.

4) Although solvent paints have many of the above disadvantages, they also have advantages. Its advantages are long storage period, low price, simple insulation treatment equipment, and its performance can meet the requirements of general oil pump motors.

2. Solvent-free paint

1) Solvent-free paint is made of paint base and reactive thinner. The reactive diluent not only plays a role in adjusting the dryness of the paint, but more importantly participates in the cross-linking curing reaction of the paint and cross-links with the paint-based molecules. This is the main difference between solvent-free paint and solvent-based paint.

2) The base molecules of solvent-free paint are smaller, and its penetration ability is better than that of solvent-based paint. In addition, the curve of the viscosity of the solvent-free paint with the temperature drop is steep. During the baking process, the paint in the winding gap is easier to flow uniformly, and the distribution of the paint liquid is more uniform.

3) The above advantages, coupled with the less volatiles of solvent-free paint, the amount of paint hanging is higher, no volatiles will break out of the paint film after the cross-linking reaction, and there is the advantage that the paint film is continuous without micropores. The experiment proves that the effect of the solvent-free paint in the first dipping can reach the same level as the solvent-based paint in the second dipping.

2. Matters needing attention in paint selection

1) The choice of paint base type must first meet the requirements of heat resistance level, and then make further selections according to the operating conditions of the oil pump motor.

2) Choosing a paint with a fast drying speed can save energy consumption and shorten the production cycle, which is undoubtedly economical. However, there is a comprehensive balance between quick-drying and storage period, which is related to the diffuse paint process and production batch.

3) The amount of paint hanging. The amount of paint hanging indicates the filling situation, and one of the purposes of multiple dipping paints is also to increase the paint hanging.

4) Comprehensive economic benefits. At present, some factories often mistakenly compare the production cost simply by the unit price of paint. As everyone knows, the choice of paint is closely related to the process, equipment, operating conditions of the motor, and production efficiency.
