Enramycin

Enramycin is a polypeptide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces fungicidus. Enramycin is widely used as a feed additive for pigs and chickens to prevent necrotic enteritis induced by Gram-positive gut pathogen.

Pharmacological action:

  1. Inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis.
  2. A strong anti-bacterial effect under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. It is effective against gram-positive bacteria.
  3. It is not absorbed in intestinal tract , which minimizes residues in human food from treated animals.
Indications:
  1. It is an excellent growth-promoter and improves feed efficiency.
  2. Prevent and reduce piglet diarrhea.
  3. Effectively prevent and cure necrotic enteritis for chicken, decrease harm of coccidiosis, reduce the ammonia concentration in the intestinal and blood, decrease ammonia concentration in the shed.

Storage: Store it in a cool and dry place , sealed well and avoid the light.

A Kind of Polypeptide Antibiotics

Highly active against diptera, homoptera coleoptera insects and mites. Target pests include rice leaf folder, dlamondback moth, cabbage butterfly,mematodes, jumping plantlices. Application crops include rice, vegetables, fruit trees, cotton,etc.

Abamectin is also used as a Veterinary antihelmintic. Resistance to abamectin-based antihelmintics, although a growing problem, is not as common as to other classes of veterinary antihelmintics. The benzoate salt emamectin benzoate is also used as an Insecticide.
