A person from the Brazilian Wind Energy Association who just attended the International Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition in Beijing revealed that several of China's largest wind energy technology companies have expressed great interest in developing the Brazilian market and are willing to establish a distribution network or investment and set up factories here.

According to the “São Paulo State News” website reported on the 9th, these Chinese companies are respectively Sinovel Wind Power Technology Group, China Guodian United Power Technology Company and Xinjiang Goldwind Science and Technology Co., Ltd., among which Sinovel has set up a representative office in Sao Paulo City.

The other two Chinese companies, Yuanjing Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Sanyi Electric Co., Ltd. also expressed their desire to open up the Latin American market, and they are willing to build factories in Brazil.

According to the Brazilian Wind Energy Association, Chinese wind energy technology companies entering the Brazilian market are of great significance in increasing the proportion of local clean energy in energy, promoting the development of wind energy technology and the competitiveness of products. At the same time, they also suggested to Chinese companies that it is best to invest in factories and transfer technology locally because it will receive a series of tax and loan concessions from the Brazilian government.

The Brazilian Wind Energy Association stated that Brazil’s current installed capacity for wind power is 1.2 million kilowatts, and by 2014 it will reach 7.2 million kilowatts.
