Aluminum profile basics

The main materials commonly used in the electric retractable door industry are aluminum and stainless steel. Aluminum is often called aluminum alloy or aluminum alloy. The main component is AL, which contains a small amount of trace elements such as My, Fe, Zn and so on. Some manufacturers call it zinc (Zn) alloys. In fact, it is a wrong name and it is a misleading user. In the aluminum alloy material contains only 0.3% zinc (Zn) parts, and the real zinc alloy hardness is much stronger than the AL, the production costs and production processes are not the same. At present, no zinc alloy material is widely used on retractable doors for the same industry.

After being profiled, the aluminum profiles are processed through different surface processes and then shipped to manufacturers. The aluminum materials used in the industry are oxidation materials and electrophoretic materials.

As the name suggests, the oxidation of aluminum oxide AL2O3, the surface treatment is relatively simple. AL can be oxidized by air in the air to form aluminum oxide. The molten aluminum water is pulled out through a special molding die and then put into the aging bath. (The thickness and shape of the material can be controlled by the die.) The paint is then sprayed on the surface. After the paint is dry, it can be shipped from the factory. At the end of the cost of the profile, the production process is simple, the surface brightness of the material is not high, there is no reflective effect, the force per unit area is not large enough, and the external impact is severely deformed. Because it is an aluminum oxide, it is very easy to be oxidized in the air. Some manufacturers use a thin powder layer formed after the oxidation of the aluminum surface. In the sales market, there is a key to lightly stroke the surface of the material, and then stroke the finger back and forth between the stroked areas. The traces are gone. Use this method to inform the user how good the material is. Not easy to draw flowers. . . . . . In fact, it is also a misleading statement. It is unscientific. The layer of powder on the surface of aluminum can be moved and stroked by two strokes. This indicates that the oxide on the surface of the material is very unstable. The more oxidation, the worse the hardness of the material. Therefore, the life of the oxidized material is short, and the material is affected by the impact force.

The electrophoretic material that we commonly use is after the aluminum water is discharged into the aging bath, and then enters the electrolytic cell to electrolyze the aluminum material. Put electrolyte in the electrolytic cell, the type of electrolyte can be changed according to actual needs. The purpose of electrolysis is to apply a protective layer on the surface of the aluminum material. This layer has a high hardness and a high surface brightness. The pressure per unit area is much greater than that of aluminum oxide. In simple terms, the electrophoretic material is an oxide material. Deep processing, electrophoretic material manufacturing process is much more difficult than the oxidation material, the cost is much higher than the oxidation material, and the service life is 2-3 years longer than the oxidation material. Therefore, we use electrophoretic materials in electric retractable doors (except for customer requirements).
