New method for laying calcined coke in prebaked aluminum cells

Recently, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association organized experts in Xining, Qinghai Province to identify the results of the “New method for laying calcined coke in prebaked aluminum cells” organized by China Aluminum Corporation Qinghai Branch. The appraisal committee listened to the technical report of the project team, reviewed the technical documents and appraisal materials, and reviewed the site. After careful discussion, the experts believed that the project was aimed at the anode bottom and coke layer existing in the domestic aluminum electrolytic cell roasting start-up process. The contact area is not easy to control, resulting in a large temperature difference between the cathode lining and affecting the quality of roasting. A new type of coke bed was developed to increase the contact area between the anode bottom and the coke, improve the anode current distribution, and reduce the impact voltage. The project starts from solving practical problems in production and the technology is practical and reliable. The overall technology has reached the advanced level in the same industry in China. At the same time, experts recommend that the aluminum industry be promoted.
