Fumarate promotes weight gain in broilers

A total of 300 1 day old Ross 308 broilers were randomly divided into 3 groups, 25 in each group, 4 replicates. The control group was fed the basal diet, and the experimental groups I and II were added 0.2% in the basal diet. 0.4% of fumaric acid, the test is divided into two stages, the first period is 1 to 21 days old, and the later period is 22 to 42 days old, and each stage is weighed. The results showed that the addition of 0.2% and 0.4% fumaric acid to broiler diets could improve body weight gain, feed-to-meat ratio, survival rate and crude protein digestibility in different stages of broiler chickens; however, there was no significant effect on broiler slaughter performance. In terms of comprehensive indicators, the effect of adding 0.2% fumarate to broiler diets was the best. Q2w China Feed Industry Information Network - based on feed, serving animal husbandry
