Local authorities and industrial parks have reduced the three waste discharge standards in order to attract investment, or have not strictly implemented relevant environmental standards. The implementation of supporting pollution control facilities is not in place, which has certain hidden dangers in the environmental impact of the photovoltaic power generation industry. The situation that the polysilicon industry is in short supply in the early stage of development also makes manufacturers ignore environmental standards and clean production. Due to the late start of the domestic polysilicon industry, it also faces problems of backward technology and equipment. According to the research report, as a mature energy conversion technology, the pollution that may occur in the photovoltaic power generation process can be solved by clean production technology. These measures and technologies have been implemented in enterprises in China, indicating that technology is not a bottleneck for clean production. The report calls for the government to formulate a more comprehensive clean production standard for photovoltaic power generation industry as soon as possible, and establish a relevant certification system as a market access standard to standardize and guide the future development direction of the photovoltaic power generation industry. Enterprises should also release annual clean production reports to the public, and disclose environmental indicators and energy consumption levels in all aspects in an open and transparent manner.
