China Academy of Space Technology

The China Academy of Space Technology, affiliated to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, was established on February 20, 1968. After more than 30 years of development, it has become the most powerful space technology and product development base in China and the backbone of China's space industry development. Mainly engaged in space development, spacecraft development, foreign technology exchanges and cooperation in the field of space, satellite applications and secondary development of space technology. It is also involved in the development of national space technology development plans; research, exploration and development of technical means of using outer space; undertaking the development of various spacecraft and ground equipment required by users and providing excellent services.

On April 24, 1970, China Academy of Space Technology successfully developed and launched China's first artificial earth satellite, Dongfanghong No. 1, making China the fifth country in the world to develop and launch satellites. China explores a new era of outer space.

In October 2003, the manned flight of the Shenzhou-5 spacecraft was a complete success, making China the third country in the world capable of independently carrying out manned space activities and setting a new milestone in the history of Chinese space. The Shenzhou-6 manned spacecraft launched in 2005 successfully achieved multi-person space flight. By 2005, 68 different types of artificial satellites, 4 unmanned test spacecraft and 2 manned spacecrafts were developed and successfully formed, forming communication broadcasting satellites, returning remote sensing satellites, earth resource satellites, meteorological satellites, and scientific exploration. Spacecraft manufacturing business with technology test satellites, navigation and positioning satellites and manned spacecraft. The various spacecrafts developed have been widely used in national economy, national defense construction, cultural education and scientific research. The new technological achievements of spacecraft have been transplanted and extended to various sectors of the national economy, which has effectively promoted the technological transformation and technological progress of traditional industries.

The China Academy of Space Technology has set up 10 research institutes and one factory, and established a space technology research and test center, which has formed the overall design of spacecraft, sub-system development and production, final assembly testing, environmental testing, ground equipment and applications, and service assurance systems. Complete complete research and development production system. Eight academicians of the two academies, 12 experts with outstanding contributions from the state, more than 1,700 senior professional and technical personnel, and a large number of new generations of aerospace that have thrived have laid a solid foundation for the sustainable development of China's space industry.

The China Academy of Space Technology has established extensive contacts with aerospace companies and space research institutions in more than ten countries and regions such as Russia, France, Brazil, and the United States; breakthroughs have been made in the export of satellites and satellite components.

Looking forward to the future, China Academy of Space Technology will adhere to the scientific concept of development, advance with the times, pioneer and innovate, carry forward the manned space spirit that is particularly hard-working, especially capable of fighting, especially capable of tackling and special dedication, aiming at human exploration of the universe. At the forefront, we will continue to create a new situation in China's aerospace industry and make unremitting efforts to build a world-class aerospace enterprise.
