According to Japanese media reports, OSG Corporation, one of Japan's leading tool makers, announced that the company has selected Infosys CommerceEdge to transform its existing e-commerce platform. The new digital commerce platform will provide OSG with powerful sales support and a series of tools to communicate with customers through the network and mobile channels. This cloud-based platform can reduce operating costs by up to 40% compared to other available systems. Infosys CommerceEdge will help OSG better understand and control its own inventory and pricing system. The social e-commerce platform will bring personalized online trading experience to every customer. The platform will also use its advanced analysis capabilities to help OSG understand customer buying behavior and patterns in real time, which will increase the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
The new social e-commerce platform is the key to OSG's global expansion plan. CommerceEdge uses pre-built accelerators and integration tools to provide multi-language support. These features also provide convenience for the platform to land in new areas and save costs.
