1. Many companies have applied 3D design software , but the application levels are very different. What do you think the company should take to make the application of 3D design software effective?

I believe that the difference in the level of enterprise 3D application depends largely on whether the company clearly understands the needs of its own product development and the problems that it wants to solve with the help of 3D CAD. Of course, the effect of 3D CAD application is good, there is a premise that can not be ignored, that is, you need to choose a 3D software suitable for you. In the case of determining that the design needs are met, the necessary top-down administrative promotion is carried out, and the planning is carried out in combination with the actual situation of the enterprise. The steps are carried out in a planned manner, and the responsible persons at the supervisory level within the enterprise are required to lead and match. The corresponding technical resources to ensure that the application of 3D CAD can be truly implemented.

2. The application of enterprise 3D CAD is slow, and it is a key issue not to formulate corresponding 3D technical specifications and standards. According to your understanding, what are the more mature general standards in this regard? What aspects should enterprises start with in making such standards?

The development of 3D technical specifications and 3D related standards is more conducive to the promotion and application of 3D CAD. Once you have the relevant standards and specifications, it is much easier to implement. The state has introduced some relevant three-dimensional specifications, such as "GBT 25108-2010 3D CAD software functional specification", which covers the definition of terms, basic functions (three-dimensional modeling, parts library, assembly, engineering drawings, rendering...), extended functions , software sharing and data exchange, system integration and secondary development interfaces. Although there is a lot of content, the depth involved is relatively shallow, and for most companies, it may not be significant.

Because there are many 3D CAD softwares , each has its own characteristics, and the modeling methods and concepts are not the same, so it is difficult to formulate relevant standards to standardize the standards. Therefore, in the formulation of standards and specifications, it is recommended that companies should formulate their internal standards based on their own actual situation and the modeling ideas of the three-dimensional CAD used (can be considered together with the software supplier).

3. For many enterprises, after applying 3D CAD, the more difficult problems, the interaction with the 2D document, the borrowing of the original 2D technical documents, etc., resulting in the disjointed 2D application, do you have any good suggestions?

The reasons for the above problems caused by the enterprise, I think there are two points: 1) In the case of long-term application of 2D CAD, the company has accumulated a large number of 2D drawings, and after applying 3D CAD, it has not taken effective measures to The drawing is gradually three-dimensional, which leads to the coexistence of 3D and 2D; 2) Enterprise 2D software is used at the same time, and many enterprises use one software for two-dimensional, another software for three-dimensional, and three-dimensional CAD for 3D design, converted to DWG/DXF and imported into 2D CAD for labeling and processing plots, which makes no 3D software not take advantage of its 2D functions. Modifications made in 3D cannot be linked in 2D. It will inevitably cause a disconnect between two 3D applications.

Since 3D software is used, it is necessary to use 3D software for design work, and to fully utilize the 2D engineering functions of 3D software , there is no need to use independent 2D software . This not only aggravates the designer's work, but also makes the correlation between the two-dimensional data interrupted, resulting in the unsynchronization of the two-dimensional data after the design change, affecting the design efficiency and increasing the error rate of the design change. Therefore, enterprises should insist on using the 2D functions contained in 3D software to solve the problem that 2D cannot be synchronized.

4. The application of advanced design methods such as modular design plays a role in the promotion of the full three-dimensional process of the enterprise, how to make it better combined to help enterprises improve design efficiency and customer satisfaction?

The modular design, in a nutshell, combines some of the elements of a product to form a subsystem with specific functions, and combines this subsystem as a versatile module with other product elements to produce a variety of different functions. Or a series of products with the same function and different performance to meet the different needs of the market.

The modular design is an opportunity for the development and application of 3D CAD, because it is difficult to apply such advanced design methods in modular design in 2D software . Modular design can reduce product development costs and shorten the time to market. This first requires the company to have a modular design tool, namely 3D software . Secondly, mastering 3D software is the premise of modular design. Many 3D software have some specific functions to support modular design.

5. What do you think is the final scenario for a full 3D application? In your opinion, how far is China's manufacturing industry from paperless workshops and digital factories?

The full 3D application does not only refer to the 3D application of design, but will eventually go through the whole process of production, manufacturing and management related to the whole life cycle of the product. At present, only a few enterprises have reached this level of application.

Full three-dimensional applications, paperless workshops and digital factories put forward higher requirements for the level of enterprise managers, and at the same time, they have a great relationship with the information construction of enterprises before.
