Introduction: PVC materials have non-flammability, high strength, weatherability and excellent geometric stability. PVC is very resistant to oxidants, reducing agents and strong acids. However, it can be corroded by concentrated oxidizing acids such as oxalic acid, and does not apply to contact with aromatic hydrocarbons or chlorinated hydrocarbons.

1. Add heat resistance modifier

Heat-resistant modifiers are a class of polymers with high heat resistance that are developed and produced to improve the heat resistance of PVC.

Polyglutarimide, SMA (styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer), HT-510, S700N, ABS heat-resistant modifiers: A15, A50B, A10 (Japan Bell), MBS heat-resistant modification Agents: Mitsubishi H602, 605, 632. In addition, there are ELIX200, 300; GE Blendex 702, 703, 586, 975 and so on.

2. PVC and other polymer blends

PVC is mixed with other polymers in a certain proportion, and the performance of the blend (fully compatible) is improved compared to PVC. Because of the compatibility of the two polymers after mixing, can achieve molecular-level interfusion, the formation of a single-phase structure, so that the performance of the blend to be supplemented and strengthened, such as PVC / PS, PVC / PE, PVC / CPVC and so on.

3. Add inorganic filler in PVC

After adding a certain amount of filler, the heat resistance of PVC can be improved. The commonly used fillers are: heavy calcium carbonate, light calcium carbonate, precipitated calcium carbonate, calcined pottery, barium sulfate, red mud, titanium self-powder, and the like.

4. Add glass fiber in PVC

PVC is added with 20%~30% glass fiber, and the heat resistance can be increased to above 100°C without adding (or adding less) plasticizer. Especially for long-fiber-reinforced PVC, the heat distortion temperature increases more significantly.

5.PVC crosslinking

Cross-linked PVC can be prepared by radiation cross-linking and chemical cross-linking. Cross-linked PVC products have better mechanical strength, dimensional stability, heat-resistant deformation, wear resistance, and chemical resistance than ordinary PVC products. Radiation cross-linked wires can be used continuously at 100~110°C.
