Two methods developed by researchers at the Bureau's oil and gas resources research center for collecting gas from gas hydrate cores—vacuum constant temperature extraction and constant temperature oscillation drainage extraction methods have greatly improved the efficiency of field work and the quality of collected gas samples. The related technology has been successfully applied to the gas hydrate drilling site in the Mohe Basin and has achieved good results.
