In 2014, the scientific research project titled "Key Technology Research and Demonstration of Export Mustard Production Processes" submitted by the Chongqing Fuling Inspection and Quarantine Bureau was officially included in the AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) Scientific Research Plan. This initiative is particularly notable as it is one of the few projects under the age of 35 for young researchers in the inspection and quarantine field. The project received a grant of 200,000 yuan and is expected to be completed within two years.
The main objectives of this project include conducting in-depth research on the origin of mustard cultivation, ensuring safety control throughout the processing stages, exploring the application of non-traditional safety monitoring and early warning technologies for pickled mustard products, and establishing demonstration zones for the quality and safety of exported mustard. This marks a significant milestone for the Fuling Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, as it is the first project from the bureau to be approved by AQSIQ, reflecting a major step forward in technological development and innovation within the local inspection and quarantine sector.
The project has garnered strong support from both the leadership of the Chongqing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and the relevant science and technology departments. Special arrangements were made to ensure its smooth progress. The research team at the Fuling Bureau has been working steadily according to the planned schedule, aiming to complete the project on time by the end of 2015 with high-quality results. The ultimate goal is to provide solid scientific and technological support for the sustainable growth of Fuling's mustard industry, enhancing its competitiveness in the international market.
