Pear fruit bagging technology points

In order to minimize pests and diseases affecting pears, reduce pesticide contamination, and enhance the visual quality of the fruit, proper bagging is essential. When bagging pears, it's important to follow these seven key guidelines: 1. Throughout the entire bagging process, avoid touching the young fruits with your hands to prevent accidental peeling of the skin. This helps maintain the integrity of the fruit’s surface. 2. When securing the bag, be careful not to apply excessive force when tying the elastic. Too much pressure can damage the fruit stem or restrict growth, while too little may cause the fruit to fall off during windy conditions. 3. Ensure that the top of the bag is not tied in a bell shape, as this could allow rainwater, pesticides, or pests to enter. Also, avoid placing leaves inside the bag to prevent unnecessary moisture buildup and potential disease spread. 4. During the bagging process, make sure the ventilation hole is open and that the fruit is positioned in the center of the bag. Proper ventilation helps regulate temperature and humidity, which is crucial for healthy fruit development. 5. If it has rained recently or if the pesticide application hasn’t fully dried, wait at least 5 days before bagging. This prevents the fruit from being exposed to wet conditions that can lead to black spots or fruit rust. 6. Do not bag pears if there is dew on the fruit or if the surface is still wet. Bagging under such conditions can increase the risk of fungal infections and other blemishes. 7. Choose medium-sized, healthy trees for bagging during the fruiting period. Avoid using old, weak, or diseased trees, as they may not support the fruit properly and could lead to lower yields or poor-quality produce. By following these best practices, farmers can significantly improve the health and appearance of their pear crops, leading to better marketability and higher profits.
