Quanzhou garment industry developed PM2.5 protective clothing

In response to the challenges posed by hazy weather and the growing public demand for better health protection, Quanzhou Textile and Apparel Industry Co., Ltd. has launched an innovative project focused on developing "PM2.5 protective clothing." This initiative aims to create garments that can effectively block harmful particles found in smog, using advanced textile technology to safeguard people's health. "Renewable and biodegradable fabrics, along with PM2.5 protective clothing, are now part of our R&D projects," said Wei Hao, deputy director of the Technology R&D Department at Fujian Longfeng Textile Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. He emphasized that this is a pioneering effort, as there are no clear precedents to follow in this field. According to Wei Wei, the company was inspired by a study showing higher rates of dermatological issues in the Jing-Jin-Ji region, possibly linked to environmental factors. In Japan, researchers developed a type of fabric that showed promising results in reducing skin disease incidence. This led the team to explore how clothing could help mitigate environmental damage to the human body. "The smog problem in China today involves excessive harmful particles in the air," Wei said. "We want to make a breakthrough by creating fabrics that can protect people from these pollutants." Over the years, Quanzhou's textile industry has been focusing on functional fabrics, particularly those with antibacterial properties. Fengzhu Textile recently introduced a new product called "Long-lasting Antimicrobial Silver Ion Fabric," which has gained significant market interest. According to the company’s product development manager, they have long excelled in cotton textiles and are now exploring ways to enhance their products by incorporating other materials. "By adding silver nanomaterials during the spinning process, the fabric can maintain its antibacterial effectiveness over time," he explained. Unlike traditional methods that rely on chemical additives, which tend to fade after multiple washes, the silver ion-based fabric offers a more durable and effective solution. As the demand for smart and health-conscious textiles continues to rise, companies like Quanzhou Textile and Fengzhu Textile are leading the way in innovation, blending science and fashion to create solutions that benefit both people and the environment.

Electric Actuator

An electric actuator is a device that converts electrical energy into mechanical motion. It is used to control the movement of various mechanical systems, such as valves, dampers, and other industrial equipment. Electric actuators are commonly used in industrial applications where precise positioning, speed control, and high accuracy are required. They are also used in the automotive industry, aerospace industry, and medical equipment. Electric actuators are available in different types, including linear actuators, rotary actuators, and multi-axis actuators. They can be powered by AC or DC power sources and can be controlled by various types of controllers, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
