4) Lightweight data and data browsing

Domestic PLM is due to the lack of data lightweight technology, resulting in better domestic PLM product management 2D product data, but once it is difficult to manage 3D model data, especially in the browsing and approval of 3D data.

The browser used in the TD PLM 2009 system is ADOBE's 3D-enabled PDF browser. This is the result of EXTECH's cooperation with ADOBE. This browser not only can browse various 3D data models commonly used in the market, but also pass When the CAD system is integrated into the TDPLM system, the system will automatically lighten the 3D model, so that when the model is browsed in the TD PLM 2009 system, the system will automatically call the lightweight PDF file to ensure smooth browsing of the model. .

5) Dynamic product parameterized configuration design

At present, in parametric design and product configuration, the general parametric design is independently undertaken by the CAD system, and the product configuration design is independently undertaken by the PLM system. Although both the CAD system and the PLM system can complete part of the work, there are certain application difficulties: If the parametric design is carried out in the CAD system, it is very convenient to carry out the matching design of the parts, and the parts after the deformation design are manually given the information such as the code and then stored in the PLM system for management; if in the PLM system The matching design of the parts is carried out, but the automatic deformation design of the non-standard parts is automatically supported according to the customer's parameter requirements.

Another feature of TD PLM 2009 is the only dynamic product configuration in the PLM industry, which combines parametric configuration, 3D model drive, and automatic output of 2D drawings. That is to say, when you modify the parameters according to the order design in the PLM system and select the universal parts, the system will automatically open the CAD system and re-organize the 3D model data according to the BOM structure in TD PLM 2009. If the parameter is modified, the CAD system will automatically modify the corresponding model and automatically update the 2D drawing. (Figures 11, 12, 13)
