How to properly adjust the electric device of the valve

In industrial enterprises, especially in urban water supply systems, a large number of standard gate valves, butterfly valves, and liquid control butterfly valves are used to regulate the production and distribution of tap water. These valves serve as essential equipment for water supply companies. Among all the valve types, gate valves are widely applied. This article will focus on how to properly adjust the electric actuator of an electric gate valve. An electric gate valve consists of a gate valve combined with an electric actuator, enabling remote or on-site operation. The electric actuator includes components such as an electric motor, speed reducer, torque limiting mechanism, stroke control mechanism, manual-electric conversion system, position indicator, and an electric controller. Improper adjustment of the electric actuator can significantly reduce the service life of the gate valve, potentially leading to severe consequences such as damage to the cast iron housing, motor burnout, or flooding in the pump room. Therefore, careful adjustment is crucial to ensure safe and uninterrupted water supply. This article outlines two key adjustment methods for the electric gate valve: 1. **Adjustment of the Torque Limiting Mechanism** The torque limiting mechanism should be adjusted based on the pressure difference at both ends of the gate valve. For example, when the pressure difference is low, the torque setting should be reduced. For HZ, Z, ZB series (see figures 1-3), adjusting the distance between the adjustment plate and trigger plate of the torque mechanism is required. The scale indicates the torque value—higher values mean greater torque. When the pressure difference is high, the torque must be increased accordingly. For the ZD series (see figure 4), the side cover must be removed, the set screw loosened, and the nut adjusted until it aligns with the shaft groove. Once secured, the actuator should be tested for smooth operation. It's important not to over-tighten, as this may lead to unnecessary wear. Some valves should be adjusted to half or one full turn after manual closing to prevent leakage. 2. **Adjustment of the “On/Off” Position** To adjust the fully open and fully closed positions, the valve should be manually positioned first. If the valve stem distance is known, this process becomes easier. For example, for a DN500 valve with a stem pitch of 8mm, the gate must rotate 62.5 turns to reach the fully open position. After power is supplied, the motor direction should be checked. If the rotation matches the manual direction, the stroke control mechanism can be adjusted. Once the fully closed position is set, the fully open position can be fine-tuned using the calculated number of turns. **Post-Adjustment Precautions** After one year of use, check if the set screws on the torque limiting mechanism are loose. For ZD series actuators, some valves have experienced failures due to improper torque settings, leading to damage. Regular maintenance is essential. Additionally, the manual-electric conversion handle must operate smoothly and be disconnected from power when in manual mode to avoid accidents. Gate valves that are rarely used should be operated periodically (e.g., every three months) to ensure proper functioning. By following these guidelines, the performance and longevity of electric gate valves can be significantly improved, ensuring reliable water supply operations.

Bidet Seat

A bidet seat is a bathroom accessory that is designed to enhance personal hygiene and comfort. It is a seat-like attachment that can be installed on a standard toilet, replacing the existing toilet seat. A bidet seat is equipped with various features and functions to provide a more thorough and convenient cleansing experience.

The primary purpose of a Smart Toilet seat is to provide gentle and effective cleansing after using the toilet. It uses water jets to spray a controlled stream of water onto the user's intimate areas, replacing the need for traditional toilet paper. This not only ensures a more hygienic clean but also reduces irritation and discomfort associated with wiping.

Smart bidet seats often come with adjustable water pressure and temperature settings, allowing users to personalize their cleansing experience according to their preferences. Some models may also offer additional features such as oscillating or pulsating spray modes for a more comprehensive clean.

In addition to cleansing, bidet seats may offer additional functionalities for enhanced comfort. Many models are equipped with a heated seat, providing warmth and comfort during colder seasons. Some bidet seats also feature air dryers that eliminate the need for toilet paper altogether, further reducing waste and promoting environmental sustainability.

The installation of a bidet seat is typically straightforward, requiring only basic plumbing skills. Most bidet seats can be easily attached to the existing toilet bowl using mounting brackets and connecting hoses. Some models may require access to a nearby electrical outlet for certain features like seat heating or air drying.
