Despite the overall economic slowdown, the Gaoming plastics industry has shown a surprising and steady growth trend this year. According to recent reports from the Gaoming Plastics Industry Association, the output value of plastics companies in Gaoming District increased by double digits in the first 11 months of the year. This performance stands out as a rare success story during what many consider an economic "winter."
Among the standout performers is Xiongye, a company with only 59 employees that operates at the upstream of the plastics supply chain. In the first 11 months of this year, its sales reached 590 million yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of over 30%. "This is largely due to the strong demand from downstream industries," said Huang Yueyi, a senior analyst at the company. Other notable companies include Jun Teng Plastic, which achieved sales of 150 million yuan, up about 15% compared to the same period last year, and another firm that reported sales of 240 million yuan, reflecting a 25% annual increase.
In total, 113 large-scale enterprises in Gaoming’s petrochemical plastics sector generated an output value of 35.8 billion yuan in the first 11 months, a year-on-year increase of 18.3%. A representative from Gaoming Plastics Co., Ltd. attributed this growth to improved product quality and better market positioning, allowing the industry to thrive even in tough conditions.
Looking ahead, Li Yongzhi, a company executive, believes that the smart plastics industry will continue to grow rapidly over the next five years. He emphasized that plastic products are essential for daily life, and with rising living standards, the market potential remains vast. As consumer demands evolve, innovation and sustainability are becoming key drivers for long-term success.
Additionally, a new development is set to boost the local plastics sector: the construction of the International Purchasing Center for Gaoming Plastic Products. The center, led by Zeng Tieqiu, president of the Gaoming District Plastics Industry Association, will cover 600,000 square meters and include an exhibition hall, logistics hub, and storage facilities. This project is expected to enhance the region's competitiveness and attract more global buyers and investors.Simple installation, different lamps can be equipped, and the number of lamps can be increased or decreased freely.
